Made New in Him

Hello everyone!

Today, I want to share a message that’s close to my heart—how we are made new in Christ. As I reflect on the beautiful transformation represented by the butterfly, I see a powerful metaphor for our own spiritual journey. Just as a caterpillar undergoes an incredible metamorphosis to become a butterfly, we too experience a profound transformation when we come to know Jesus.

Transformation Through Christ

One of the most powerful verses that speak to this transformation is 2 Corinthians 5:17: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" This verse captures the essence of our new identity in Christ. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we are not just improved or upgraded versions of our old selves—we are completely new creations.

Embracing the Process

The transformation process isn’t always easy. Like the caterpillar in its cocoon, we might go through periods of darkness and uncertainty. But these are the times when God is working most powerfully in us, molding and shaping us into who He wants us to be. It's in these moments that we must trust in His process and have faith that He is making something beautiful out of our lives.

Living Out Our New Identity

Being made new in Christ means living out our new identity every day. It means letting go of old habits, thought patterns, and behaviors that don’t align with who we are in Him. It means embracing the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—and letting them guide our actions and interactions with others.

A Daily Renewal

Our transformation in Christ is both a one-time event and a continuous process. While we are made new at the moment of salvation, we are also called to renew our minds daily (Romans 12:2). This daily renewal involves spending time in God's Word, prayer, and fellowship with other believers. It's a daily commitment to follow Jesus and to allow His Spirit to work in us and through us.

Sharing Our Transformation

One of the most powerful testimonies we can share with others is the story of our own transformation. Just like the butterfly's journey from caterpillar to butterfly, our story can inspire and encourage others who might be struggling or going through their own transformation process. By sharing how God has made us new, we can point others to the hope and love found in Jesus.

Conclusion

As you go about your day, remember that you are a new creation in Christ. Embrace the transformation He has brought about in your life and continue to seek His guidance as you grow in your faith. Let the beautiful design of the butterfly on our "Made New" tumbler remind you of the incredible work God is doing in you.

Thank you for reading, and may you be continually renewed and transformed by His love and grace.
